**The Opportunity**

Here is the opportunity to develop and drive the digital future of a globally owned vertically integrated manufacturing business with multiple sites across New Zealand.

Lead the new technology and systems functions of the business, develop the IT strategic plan and implement improvements across the full business.

As a vertically integrated manufacturer, there is a wide range of systems and technologies in use across infrastructure, software, automation and ERP. As a result, there is a necessity and huge opportunity for increased efficiency across all facets.

**The Role**

As the IT & Systems Manager, you will take full control of national IT development and look to develop a 3-5 year improvement roadmap.

The company has a well-established JDE ERP platform which will require further development as the business moves systems to the cloud. They have recently moved to Microsoft 365

You will lead the current team of 4 made up of a regional Systems Administrator on each site, a head office IT Support Administrator and a centralised Systems Administrator.

**Specific responsibilities include**:
Leadership on alignment of IT technology with organisational strategy
- Develop an IS Strategy and business plan with associated budgetary requirements.
- Propose annual budgets for maintenance and approved capital necessary to achieve the objectives of the Plan.
- Develop an IS Architecture model to underpin the IT Strategy /Plan
- Manage and protect server room hardware infrastructure, mail and file servers, IT equipment, network, user access, etc.

Operations & Efficiency
- Assist all sections of the company to enable IT needs to be met and where upgrades or functional changes are appropriate as a result of new or improved technology.
- Ensure processes and systems are developed and implemented to provide timely input and reporting to meet professional technical disciplines, protocols, Company and accepted IT standards and all audit requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships both within the company and with all relevant external parties.

Day-to-Day Operations and Reporting, Security and Data Integrity
- Lead the IT and Systems team to deliver timely and proactive day-to-day IT systems support across all sites.
- Lead JDE Systems support.
- Manage the backup system to ensure the ability of the company to fully recover in an acceptable timeframe from any foreseeable disaster.
- Formulate and introduce disaster recovery strategies, facilities and procedures including server recovery testing.

**Skills & Experience**

We believe this is an excellent opportunity for an existing IT leader looking for a new challenge or someone who has taken a business through an IT development process as part of a team and now looking to take a leadership role as their next step.

Proven experience in development of IT strategy and roadmap will be critical for success in this position with the ability to develop key stakeholder relationships across the business and positively influence change.

We are seeking someone with previous manufacturing industry experience and proven experience with JDE or similar ERP/MRP Systems.
