Commercial Services Manager Pt and Active Modes

The Commercial Services Manager for Public Transport and Active Modes (PTAM) and their specialist team actively supports key public transport procurement and commercial initiatives, Fares and Revenue management and operational requirements. Working with internal business stakeholders and Project teams on all aspects of commercial strategy development and delivery leading and supporting negotiations, contract development / review, analysis and performance management you and the team will quickly earn a reputation as "trusted advisors". You will also be part of the wider Leadership group within PTAM. **Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity** Key current and future major focus areas include the Bus and Ferry procurement programmes, On Demand, Total Mobility and other PT and Active Modes related initiatives, and management of Fares, Concessions and Revenue management. A further aspect of the role is to also contribute to the development and knowledge share of commercial best practices, working with other colleagues and teams, as part of the wider AT Commercial Community Centre of Excellence. This role will also support the identification, evaluation and implementation of funding and approvals and project improvement opportunities for major projects that you and the team are involved with. It will play a major part in leading and supporting contract and commercial negotiations and finalisation with contract counter parties, suppliers and external organisations, with focus on key legal and commercial aspects including insurances, securities packages, payment, pricing, KPI and KRA establishment and the approach to Public Transport commercial constructs. It will also lead and support analysis of proposals put forward by third parties and market engagement activities. **Ko koe tēnei | About you** - Extensive '15 plus years' experience in a commercial and or legal advisory and management, professional services and / or strategic business management role in government or private sector, with accountability for commercial aspects and a focus on outcome delivery. - Experience in developing and managing complex Commercial and contractual arrangements - Ability to lead small specialist team working predominantly in a matrix environment - Experience of business case development, preferably in transport sector - Previous large scale complex procurement and project management experience - An understanding and appreciation of the workings and functions of local government **Ko wai mātou | About us** At AT, we embrace inclusion and fully support building a diverse workplace where people come first and we feel safe, respected, valued and supported, inclusive of our differences.
