**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**
Epsom Library delivers services for customers to access library services, creative facilities, community programs, and customer services all under one roof.
This role is vital for connecting children, youth, and whānau with library services and programs. You will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative, responsive, and engaging programs and events for tamariki and rangatahi. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with the Epsom library team and across the local board, creating and delivering innovative events. As a senior librarian, this role has additional leadership responsibilities in supporting the library team.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- An ability to provide strong leadership with excellent communication skills
- An aptitude for building relationships with young people and their whānau, schools, pre-schools, community stakeholders, and the wider council family
- Skills with technology and the ability to support customers to successfully use information resources and devices
- A willingness to design and deliver innovative, value-added programs and events
- Strong children and youth reader advisory skills
- LIANZA professional registration
- The role will be part of the senior team, assisting with the library's day-to-day operations and supporting team members.
This is a permanent position working 38 hours per week on a Tuesday to Saturday schedule.
