You will be employed as a Manager and in this role, you are to give leadership and direction to Wellington Aqua Care Limited Wellington, Canterbury and Taranaki Regions t/a Live Environments Wellington / Canterbury/ Taranaki. You are to be accountable to the Director for all functions that form part of this role.
These are listed in detail below but as a general summary, you are to manage customer relationship, vendor management and operations at Wellington Aqua Care Limited.
You will be reporting to Managing Director.
Your duties include, but not limited to the following:
- OPERATIONAL
- Overall responsibility for organising and maintaining operation of Wellington Aqua Care Limited in Wellington, Canterbury and Taranaki Regions.
- Formulate, implement strategies and provide feedback to Wellington Aqua Care Business Consultant.
- Participate in scheduled meetings and discussions and provide feedback to Live Environments Franchisee System through Wellington Aqua Care Limited.
- Ensure display aquariums are display worthy, fully operational and compliant by undertaking regular maintenance and servicing as per schedule.
- Prepare and reconcile daily, weekly and monthly sales and service reports.
- Coordinating with Customer Service Technicians across Regions.
- Auditing and checking the storage facilities across Regions.
- Ensuring the storage facility are kept clean & tidy.
- Ensure that every customer is served properly and experiences the best customer service.
- Solve customers complaints by taking systematic approach for identifying the cause(s) and appropriate solution(s)
- Managing stock and sending monthly stock reports.
- Ensure all stock of live fishes, fish food, plants, filters and other service material are well maintained.
- Make sure health and safety policy is strictly followed by all.
- Job involves travelling to all locations as and when required for marketing, training, auditing, servicing and recruiting staff.
- Responsible for attending to 0800 calls across regions and updating the CRM.
- Job involves travelling to locations, odd hours and 24x7 attending to incoming calls from customers.
- Job might involve working during the weekends and after hours also.
- PROCUREMENT & SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with key suppliers Braeside Gold Fish, Brooklands, Kongs, Live Environments Franchisee Systems and local suppliers.
- Determine stocking of Display Aquariums, Plants, Pumps, Bulbs, live fish, fish food and other essential materials.
- Ordering appropriate levels live fishes and fish food & negotiate favourable purchasing terms with suppliers.
- Identify procurement opportunities (other than from regular suppliers) by reviewing promotions / specials at other outlets (online and physical visit means)
- Undertake targeted advertising in local media and other media like local press publications
- Ascertain level of local competition, identify sales trends and implement measures to increase and retain market share.
- FINANCIAL
- Undertake regular stock taking, manage stock levels.
- Establish and keep updated budgeting and maintain cash flow forecast
- Setting prices of display fish aquariums for rentals and servicing.
- Filling all invoices and sending to customers.
- Managing Xero Accounting Software for the Region.
- Manage supplier accounts and authorise payments
- Ensure agreed pricing is reflected on invoices and raise with the supplier any discrepancy found.
- Managing and following up on overdue accounts and providing report to Head office.
- HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Ensuring compliance with occupational Health & Safety Regulations as stipulated under the current Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
- Ensure all H&S related documentation is current
- Ensure First Aid box is fully stocked and is available within easy reach
- ENVIRONMENTAL
- Ensuring compliance with the current Environmental Regulations as stipulated under the current Environmental Act 1986.
- STAFF RECRUITMENT, TRAINING AND MENTORING (HUMAN RESOURCES)
- Responsible for hiring, firing, supervising and training the staff
- Preparation of rosters for staff and assuring that the site is manned at all operating hours
- Recording all worked hours and leave taken by employees and passing on summary of the hours to Managing Director for payment of wages.
