We currently have an exciting 12-month fixed term opportunity (parental leave) for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join a great team, and develop their career.

We spoke with our General Manager - Health, Safety & Wellbeing, who let us know the following about the role:
**What does a day in the life of a Health & Safety Continuous Improvement Lead look like?**

You will have ownership of contractor management programme, take the lead in various H&S audit and assurance activities, as well as a range of projects to uplift risk controls and overall H&S maturity across BNZ.

**What is the team culture and environment like?**

We live and breathe our values at BNZ and take the wellbeing of our people seriously. We are a supportive Health, Safety & Wellbeing team who work hard with a mission to uplift maturity but don't take themselves too seriously at the same time

**What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?**

The varied range of projects and levels of stakeholder engagement involved day to day keeps this role exciting and challenging. Having the opportunity to work on various improvement plans at once allows you to use your knowledge and experience to enhance processes but also learn more about the many specific areas of the Bank.

**What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?**

We are looking for a self-starter who has strong problem-solving skills and time management skills.

Ideally you will be able to juggle many priorities, build strong relationships, and influence others, along with the ability to lead and coach others that are part of the project team.
