The Practice Lead, Business Analysis reports to the Manager, Project Capability and is the leader responsible for our Business Analysis capability within the EPMO. This includes ensuring our kaimahi are coached, led, guided and supported to successfully deliver quality business analysis outcomes and become better BAs through development and training.
This team is a critical part of our Project Capability team and as the Practice Lead for this team, you need to articulate a vision for how you will create a culture of high performance, lift our technical capabilities and lead the team in a way that ensures our organisation's priorities are met and delivered.

The Practice Lead, Business Analysis, is an amazing opportunity for someone who can clearly demonstrate their technical skills and experience, but also has highly developed relationship and customer focus skills and is a natural collaborator.
This role is heavily focused on cultivating a culture of high performance, building a community of skilled project professionals that lifts our capabilities and responding to the needs and strategic drivers of the organisation.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
**Key requirements of the role include**:
- Lead their people in working collaboratively across Oranga Tamariki.
- Coach and guide Business Analysts on up to date and modern business analysis techniques and frameworks, using practical, demonstrated experience.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date view of business analysis skills and capability across the practice, aligning with the requirements of the organisation and proactively identifying and addressing capability or skill gaps.
- Onboarding of new business analysis resource to ensure awareness and understanding of business analysis practice requirements.
- Provide resource management for the centralised pool of Business Analysts, including allocation and utilisation.
- Work with the project delivery community to define resourcing and skill requirements and provide assistance matching resource needs with internal or external capability.
- Ensure our business analysis professionals have the appropriate skills, knowledge, and experience to deliver the required work and expected results, including providing coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities as identified through regular performance conversations, the business analysis career progression framework and annual performance reviews.
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture

Oranga Tamariki offer an impartial remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure. Annual remuneration for this position starts between $142,728 and $177,410 dependent on experience.
