This newly created Practice Lead - Business Analysis role offers the challenge and opportunity of leading and developing the business analysis tīma (team) within CP&S and BNZ to ensure the capabilities of team members are being increased and developed.
**Mō te Tūranga | About the Role**
We spoke with our Head of Product Transformation Design (who you'd report to), and he let us know the following about the tūranga (role):
**What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?**
- Work strategically to identify and manage analysis dependencies, priorities and resourcing across Customer, Products and Services for key initiative programmes in BNZ..
- Managing tīma (team) performance through regular performance conversations, providing employee recognition and feedback.
- Competency development towards ensuring a high standard of project proficiency for BNZ.
- Ensure adherence to agreed frameworks and ways of working are followed.
- Build and maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
You will lead a team to continuously improve business analysis processes and provide best practice guidance and support. Key transformation projects will include:
- Core Ledger replacement project
- Customer onboarding project
- Customer Relationship Management project
- Loan Origination project
**What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?**
This position offers a chance to further develop and progress a team of individuals to the next phase of their projects supporting BNZs key transformation programmes.
**What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?**
As this is a newly created position, the successful applicant will be tasked with establishing new ways of working, frameworks & adherence. The role will also involve integrating different BA's and Senior BA's from different project steams into one unified team.
Success will be someone who can bring a balance between product and system knowledge expertise, with the ability to lead a team and develop growth in the team.
**What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?**
This lead role requires an ability to adapt to changing scenarios, an ability to sometimes make the hard calls in terms of what we would like to do/what we need to do. You will also be a caring individual as this team is very much a family unit.
**What is your favourite thing about working for BNZ?**
The direction this bank is heading. We are making the right calls about where we need to be focussing, we just need the right tāngata (people) to support that.
