Join the People and Culture team as a Senior Advisor Health, Safety and Wellbeing based in our Auckland Office.

Reporting to the lead this fixed term role supports the strategy and plans for all health, safety wellbeing and security initiatives across the Commission. You will also be responsible for the successful implementation, monitoring and reporting of these initiatives. This role will have a specific focus on the 2026 General Election and other electoral events. Fixed term role until November 2026.

The salary band for this role is $108k-$120k.

As an experienced Health & Safety/ Security professional, you will have the ability to build strong relationships across the Commission and bring key stakeholders on a health, safety and security improvement journey. You will enjoy working in a diverse, fast-paced, busy environment. You will contribute to a constructive, positive and collaborative work environment.

You will be supporting key programmes of work to design the safest way to deliver election events for all kaimahi and voters. You will also:

- Provide specialist expertise and support to enable health, safety, wellbeing and security practices to be embedded in how work is designed and performed.
- Manage and maintain all health and safety management systems.
- Support the return-to-work process and return-to-work reporting for our people.
- Monitor and measure service delivery for injury and claims.
- Driving continual improvement in health, safety and wellbeing.
- Provide reporting as required to stakeholders.

- Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent work experience in Health, Safety and Security practice.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
