Auckland City, New Zealand New Zealand Government Full time

We are looking for an Information Adviser - Records to be the face of the well-regarded Knowledge and Information team in our Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) office. If you are fun, passionate about information management and have training experience, this might be the job for you.
Ko mātou tēnei | Who we are
Te Komihana Tauhokohoko | The Commerce Commission is Aotearoa New Zealand's competition, fair trading, consumer credit and economic regulatory agency. Our mission is to make New Zealanders better off by ensuring our markets work well and consumers and businesses are confident participants in those markets.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
Our Knowledge and Information Manager and three Senior Advisers (two information management, one library/research) are located in our Wellington office.
This is a newly created role to provide much needed face to face support to our growing Auckland office in all things related to our knowledge management system, iManage. This will range from providing system training to our new starters to ensure a smooth induction, to supporting our IS helpdesk with general iManage queries, and assisting with the retention and disposal of both physical and online records.
There is no library/research role in Auckland, so there will be some low level support activities such as receipt or distribution of materials from time to time.
You will be connecting with people across the whole organisation on a daily basis so will need strong relationship skills and be confident at training both face to face and online. While your direct team is based in Wellington, you will be welcomed into the Information Services Helpdesk team in our Auckland office.
If you enjoy working with information and using technology, this is a perfect role to provide you with oversight of organisation wide projects and offer you a career pathway into other roles across the organisation.
He kōrero mōu | About you

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Be accurate, methodical, inquisitive, and quick to learn systems and processes
- Be discrete about information you are handling
- Have strong relationship skills and enjoy engaging across teams and at different levels within an organisation
- Have experience with systems training, both face to face and online
- Have experience or an interest in records management and using document management systems
- Have a sound understanding of the Records Management Act 2005
- Ideally, have experience in using SharePoint and/or Office 365 but this is not a showstopper.

Te wāhi mahi | Working here
We're friendly and collaborative and enjoy contributing to our shared vision of making New Zealanders better off. Career growth and development is not only supported and encouraged, it's a part of everyday life here. We also offer a range of benefits to show that we'll value your mahi, including generous leave entitlements, study support, a range of wellness initiatives and competitive remuneration.
We are committed to our people's wellbeing. Any support needed is freely given, providing the opportunity for everyone to thrive. Our flexible working options are key to supporting that goal and our people have the technology they need to make it happen. We even offer a contribution to working from home set up costs. Our environment is inclusive, and our people know they are free to be their authentic selves at work and structure the way they work to suit their lifestyle.
Ka pēhea te tono mai | How to apply

We value diverse perspectives and the contribution every one of our people makes to our culture. Put simply - you can be yourself here.
