**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

As a **Records Technician** you will work alongside the Senior Records Technician to implement new processes, develop a consistency of and improve recordkeeping capability of Auckland DHB. This is a permanent full-time position of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

To be successful in the role you will need:
- at least three years’ experience in a similar position within a large organisation
- to have working knowledge of New Zealand Public Records Act 2005 and Information and Records Management Standards
- good working knowledge in records management systems and procedures
- advanced ability in physical and digital records’ registration, classification, appraisal, storage and sentencing
- a high standard of proficiency in Microsoft Office software, in particular Excel, Outlook and Windows Explorer
- excellent written and verbal communication skills with a cooperative style
- the ability to work well in busy and complex environments and can prioritise workloads efficiently to meet audit and business deadlines
- experience planning and delivering effective recordkeeping training programmes
- good customer service skills

- Relevant experience in record keeping or information and records management is essential
