Mō te tūnga | About the role
In this role, you'll engage in advisory tasks and offer essential support to various teams. Your attention to detail will shine as you review and refine written content, ensuring it's of the highest quality.
As an Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in providing timely, well-informed advice and operational assistance. Your expertise will be instrumental in analysing information and crafting responses that hit the mark. Collaborating closely with the Deputy Director, you'll ensure a seamless flow of information.
You'll own vital processes, from managing correspondence to coordinating site visits, and lend crucial support to projects as needed. Your network will span Oranga Tamariki, the Minister's Office, and other key stakeholders, showcasing your skill in relationship building.

**Key requirements of the role include**:

- An understanding of, or experience in, the public sector.
- Proven record of delivering quality work, including under tight time constraints
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write documents that are clear & concise
- Ability to proofread, edit and quality check the work of others
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and responsively in both government and non-government settings
- Knowledge of Cabinet and Ministerial processes and procedures
- Knowledge of machinery of government and public sector processes and systems
- A clean, current driver's licence is essential.
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
