The Workforce Delivery & Resourcing team are the single point of contact for all project resourcing requests and manage the resourcing pipeline. We help project teams deliver their resource requirements ensuring where possible the best utilisation of internal resources before going to market for external resource. We also identify, facilitate and coordinate the delivery of the contingent workforce requirements for DDI.
We are developing an overall resourcing demand picture so key trends and requirements are identified early so the right people can be delivered to the right places, at the right times. Looking to the future we will be looking at new sourcing strategies to get the best talent working for MBIE with also a lens on ensuring value for money.

**Tēnei tūranga - About the role**:
Reporting to the Manager Workforce Delivery and Resourcing, this position plans, coordinates and facilitates the delivery of contingent project resources through the recruitment and selection process ensuring standards, criteria and compliance are maintained.
**The Resourcing Analyst is responsible for**:
- Assists in the development, collation, and maintenance of resource demand plans from around the organisation to identify future workforce needs, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure plans are fit for purpose and are up to date
- Maintains the customer delivery workforce including recruitment standards for contingent staff and the process to select and retain the contingent part of the workforce
- Works with and supports the Manager Workforce Delivery and Resourcing to gather and report metrics that describe the state of the Customer delivery unit workforce identifying those with out of tolerance parameters
- Develops advice on the workforce impacts of new business projects, MBIE’s ICT strategic direction, its business planning, its investment and prioritisation, and any wider considerations
- Provides advice and recommendations on the status of the Customer Delivery unit workforce through regular reporting on the status, assignment, usage, costs and quality of the workforce output
- Collects, collates, analyses and reports on individual contractor performance metrics
- Maintains an overview of business ICT projects, tracking workforce usage and progress, ensuring appropriate dependency management, and providing lessons learned and appropriate feedback across the unit
- Leads the implementation of best practice standards, tools and processes for workforce management including compliance with relevant MBIE and government policies, frameworks and standards
- Brings order to complex situations, and keeps a focus on business objectives
- Processes and documents the selection, retention and termination of the contingent workforce coordinating with the suppliers of contractors as required
- Prepares authorisation and contract documentation as required

- Demonstrated strong inter-personal and relationship skills
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Process driven
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong business writing capability and experience
- Ability to quickly assimilate new information of areas of work, quickly establish and build strong working relationships, and to develop trust and credibility with managers and staff
- Experience in the development and maintenance of contract documentation
- A comprehensive understanding of ICT systems, terminology, technology, practices and industry
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience, and a commitment to ongoing professional development
