**Tēnei tūranga - About the role**:
The Energy and Resource Markets (ERM) branch of around 150 professionals is responsible for providing robust strategic, policy and regulatory advice on energy markets, operational regulation, and compliance services. We have an ambitious and exciting work programme ahead to lead the energy and resource sector’s transition to a low-emissions economy. The work is becoming more transformational and strategic in nature and a new model with newly created positions has been established to set the function up for success.
We are currently recruiting for three PA/ Team Administrators due to internal career progression, as well as a newly created position. The PA/Team Administrator is responsible for providing efficient and effective support services to managers and teams across the branch. This includes critical areas of success such as:
- Providing personal support to managers including assisting management in prioritising key tasks, diary management and bring up system, preparation of documentation and follow-up action.
- Providing administrative support including arranging travel, assisting with event management and catering for business units and teams, processing of invoices and payments, ordering and purchasing of office equipment, and liaising with facilities and IT staff.
- Identifying opportunities of internal best practice, delivering sound administrative systems and processes as part of a business group support team, and maintaining a high quality and consistent MBIE approach.
- Supporting management and teams in utilising self-serve approaches.
- Managing key working relationships within the Ministry and with staff in Ministers’ offices.

We are seeking someone who is comparable relevant experience. To be successful in this role you will need:
- A proven track record of experience and achievement in providing personal and administrative support to managers and teams.
- Demonstrated agility in supporting multiple teams and responding to changes in priorities.
- Wide ranging knowledge of administration systems and processes.
- Sound relationship management skills.
- To be proactive and use initiative.
- A good standard of computer literacy and word processing.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to prioritise work to achieve MBIE outcomes.
