The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
We have a permanent, full-time opportunity available to join our regional team as **Clinical Operations Lead**
This is a senior role in the Regional Strategy and Operatons Team and National Public Health Service (NPHS) and member of the Regional Leadership Group (RLG) and the Regional Clinical and Professional Leadership Team.
**The primary organisational impact of this position is to coordinate the operational and workforce requirements across the clinical teams that supports delivery of the strategic and operational plans meeting the NPHS performance expectations**.**The role will also act as delegate for the Manager, People and Operations as required, ensuring all aspects of operations are effectively managed across the clinical teams following agreed processes.

You will have strong operational management or co-ordination experience, ideally within the health sector and will be able to successfully deliver on projects. You will also have ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders to build a sound understanding of their operational environment and context. You are comfortable with and champion diversity in the workplace and in how we deliver our services
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Relevant tertiary qualification or comparable experience
- Operational management experience ideally within the health sector, including onboarding and induction, rostering, workforce coordination and development of plans, policies and procedures to optimise team performance
- Experience in project delivery with demonstrable positive outcomes including:
- supporting management and day-to-day operational coordination and support for the clinical workforce to deliver the NPHS regional strategic, policy and operational priorities to enable the realisation of Pae Ora.
- On-boarding, HR and payroll processes.
- operational support to the Manager, People and Operations.
- facilitating and managing the placements of Registrars, House Officers and Medical Students, including leading recruitment processes.
- Risk identification and management
- Experience in relationship and stakeholder management
