New Zealand Blood Service (NZBS) primary objective is to support the New Zealand healthcare community though managing the collection, processing and supply of blood, tissues, cells and organs for transfusion and transplantation. The Quality and Regulatory Affairs (QRA) Directorate is a core team within the organisation, support and advising across all functions on quality and compliance issues. NZBS work to Good Practice Guidelines (GMP/GLP/GDP) and are licensed by Medsafe and our laboratories to ISO15189 IANZ accreditation. With the appointment of a new QRA Senior Leadership team and the exciting ambition of the organisation this team is growing and are now recruiting to the following post.
How you'll make impact
As a Quality Project Specialist you will be responsible for providing compliance leadership and expert advice to projects throughout the NZBS ensuring that the outcome of such projects complies with Regulatory and Accreditation requirements. This role will for the first 2 years play a lead role in the development of our new site at Highbrook.
Reporting to the National Quality Manager Projects and Improvement you would be responsible for:
- Providing Quality Systems Leadership to projects which is demonstrated through successful compliant delivery of project stages to final completion.
- Engage with project teams determining project risks and issues and supporting compliant resolutions are implemented.
- Lead and drive change control aspects of projects, working with project teams to ensure that all required changes are managed in the Quality Management System, risk assessed and documented.
- Be responsible for project related audit and inspection activities, including key supplier audit and assessment to ensure services and products comply with required regulatory standards.
About you
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- A strong focus on leading through influence and enjoy engaging and motivating with different teams to be successful
- Have significant experience in a health care, pharmaceutical, patient services or similar environment (GxP)
- Knowledge and experience in biologics, medical devices manufacturing or clean room/ aseptic environments
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication, planning and organisational skills with an attention to detail.
- Science diploma or degree (or equivalent) in a medical, pharmaceutical or technical field with a tertiary qualification
