About the Role

We have the opportunity available to join the National Public Health Service (NPHS) Prevention Directorate as a Project Coordinator. This is a fixed term, full-time role.

The role is to support the BreastScreen Aotearoa (BSA) Quality Review team and wider BSA team, to deliver and implement these recommendations as well as other BSA projects and the programme when required. The primary purpose of the role is to:

  • Coordinate Project Deliverables: Manage the timely delivery of key outputs and maintain comprehensive project documentation to support project milestones
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare, draft, and contribute to regular project reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity in tracking progress and outcomes
  • Team Support: Provide operational and administrative support across the wider BSA team, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with project objectives

About the Team/Service/ Location

The NPHS within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

About you

As a Project Coordinator, you will be pro-active and an enthusiastic individual who works well as part of a team but can use your initiative and work independently when needed. You will be required to work with a range of teams and audiences in this role so you will need to be an excellent communicator who is able to engage with stakeholders and network across the NPHS Prevention team and the wider organisation.

  • Experience providing administration and coordination support to a busy work programme
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise work, manage risk and follow through on tasks until successfully delivered
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Adaptable to changing environments and competing demands
  • Ability to solve problems through to resolution
  • Ability to develop high quality visual presentations
