You are a risk leader with strong credibility, who can bring a fresh perspective to risk management and drive innovative solutions, breaking away from traditional risk management approaches. You’ll be working closely with the GM’s and Heads of Departments to provide coaching and guidance on effective risk management practices and establishing appropriate controls.

You’ll be responsible for the governance and operations of the enterprise Model Risk Management framework, including policies and standards. You’ll also be involved in maintaining and enhancing the Model Risk Management technology platform, working closely with partners in Digital and Technology.

It’s essential you can demonstrate successful outcomes, including influencing senior stakeholders. Due to the scope of the role, this position holds significant visibility within the bank. You’ll have:

- A leader known for fostering a supportive and inspirational environment, operating with a growth mindset.
- Experience in developing and leading a small high performing team.
- Deep understanding of models in banking or financial services industry and understand the level of governance required.
- Strong understanding of model risk validation practices, as well as the associated risks and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate complex concepts to senior stakeholders, including reporting to senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate challenging conversations and manage conflicts, while maintaining a professional and collaborative approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
