**Mōu | About You**
You're a detail-driven security professional with a sharp analytical mind and a passion for protecting digital ecosystems. You thrive on complexity, lead with integrity, and know how to turn risk into opportunity. You'll bring:
- At least 7 years' experience in security risk assessments and controls assurance
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems or Business Management (or equivalent experience)
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CISA (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001
- Experience conducting security risk assessments
- Excellent communication skills — able to influence, advise, and articulate risk clearly
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
- High personal and professional standards, with a focus on integrity and accountability
**Mō te Tūranga | About the Role**
You'll be joining a team that's focused on safeguarding SkyCity's digital assets and ensuring our technology partners meet the highest security standards. From assessing new solutions to reviewing vendor capabilities, your work will be central to our cyber assurance strategy.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Conducting security risk and control assessments across systems, websites, and vendors
- Evaluating design alignment with security standards and architectural patterns
- Reviewing control effectiveness and identifying vulnerabilities
- Documenting findings, risk ratings, and remediation recommendations
- Managing and prioritising assurance activities across new and existing solutions
- Leading and coaching a small team, ensuring quality and consistency of assessments
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to drive secure outcomes
- Contributing to continuous improvement of assurance methodologies and templates
- Supporting governance processes through dashboards, reporting, and risk registers
- Escalating significant risks and systemic issues as required
