The Opportunity

Naylor Love has made a genuine and profound commitment to be the leader in sustainable construction practices and the champion of sustainable construction products in New Zealand. We are looking for a key person to take charge of our Wellington team’s environmental and sustainability footprint.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about sustainable construction and the environment. You will need to have the technical expertise to engage our teams to think outside the box when it comes to delivering sustainability and environmental initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

- Foster a culture of sustainability and encourage staff involvement.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
- Innovate and continuously improve sustainability practices.
- Monitor and report on sustainability performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into all aspects of our projects and operations.
- Lead initiatives to reduce carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency across our sites.
- Engage with stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies, to promote and communicate our sustainability achievements and goals.

Experience and competencies:

- Proven experience in environmental and sustainability management within construction or related industries (Essential)
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to drive change and inspire a culture of sustainability within the organisation
- Strong analytical skills to assess and improve sustainability performance metrics
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
