We are on the lookout for a **Marketing & Communications Manager **who will help lead SO/ Auckland as the best destination lifestyle-luxury hotel in New Zealand

**Job Description**:
**THE ROLE**
- Work with the leadership team to drive the commercial success for the hotel
- Create marketing strategies to ensure that the hotel, the food & beverage outlets and the event spaces are embraced and visited by locals, nationals and internationals alike
- Drive innovative thinking that delivers on brand and business goals - ensuring SO/ Auckland is a local hotspot, whether that’s for somewhere to work, eat, drink, rest or play
- Generate content and manage the hotels social media channels which embraces our strategic and creative goals
- Assist in developing partnerships and activations with local and international brands, creating buzz and interest
- Be responsible for communications across different platforms
- Own the guest journey, ensuring every touch point (touch, see, hear, feel) is on brand and delivering personal and innovative experiences
- Manage the marketing and communications budget, working with the GM to plan, track and manage all spend
- Create and design collateral and campaigns for the hotel
**Qualifications**:
**THE PERSON**
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or retail industry
- Someone proactive and able to work independently but likes being sociable & collaborative too
- A creative thinker who has a track record building lifestyle brands but also delivering business results in the local market
- Ability to be a generalist across marketing and communications
- Excellent communications skills and attention to detail
- A personal network and/or interest in industries such as art, design, fashion, music, tech, food and wellness
- A conceptual, out-of-the-box thinker, who makes brave choices and inspires others to do the same
- You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun along the way
- Must be have legal working rights in New Zealand
