IPWEA NZ is looking for a talented marketing and communications generalist to take ownership for our visual identify and overall marketing communications planning and delivery. A person who can create the plan and deliver tactically to provide valuable, positive engagement with existing members, potential members, and key stakeholders, will thrive in this position, supporting this organisation to advance its vision of sustainable communities enabled by public asset management excellence.

IPWEA NZ represents, develops and enhances the public asset management profession for Aotearoa. We regularly engage with members, key stakeholders such as local and central government, consultants, other industry bodies, and the general public. We inform these audiences about issues facing the infrastructure and public asset sector, IPWEA NZ’s own activities, relevant news, thought leadership, and the public asset management profession.

In this role you will:

- Develop and deliver marketing and communications plans that will inform, attract and engage both members and stakeholders.
- Market events by planning and delivering communications for a range of online and in person events, including a major annual national conference and regular large scale forums.
- Bring new initiatives and ideas that effectively engage with members, and raise the visual identity mana of the organisation.
- Advise the CEO and team on best practice within marketing and communications.

The right person for this role will offer:

- A proven track record of delivering successful, effective marketing and communications plans.
- Strong, professional written communications skills.
- Social media management and website maintenance experience.
- An ability to multi-task across projects and manage their own workflow with a flexible, agile, can-do attitude.
- Comfort and an enjoyment from working with a small, committed team.

IPWEA NZ are based in the central Wellington city. We offer a very flexible working environment that supports our people to manage their own workflow and achieve a good life work balance. Some travel to events in the regions will be required 4-5 times a year.

Applicants based in Wellington are preferred, however interest from remote based professionals will be considered. Starting date is also flexible for the right person.
