- Wellington based Tēnei tūranga - About the Role: The Senior Business Advisor Identity Services is responsible for leading initiatives and engagement to inform the strategic direction and operations of the Identity Services team within the Immigration Risk and Border (IRB) branch. The Senior Business Advisor will bring their business understanding and risk management experience to work in partnership with the National Manager Identity, Identity Services’ leadership team and wider IRB branch to grow relationships and inform strategic and operational projects across INZ, and with external agencies.

In this role you will be responsible for leading a range of business advisory services and representing the Identity Services team on key projects and initiatives that work across the wider INZ system. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as supporting the National Manager Identity with day-to-day business operations, as required.

- Previous experience in Immigration New Zealand, preferably in the field of identity management and with a strong understanding of the use of biometric modalities for identity resolution.
- Significant experience working with senior officials in an advisory capacity.
- Ability to focus on strategic and operational issues and to be able to contribute your insights to develop and move initiatives forward.
- A demonstrated ability to quickly establish and build professional working relationships of trust and confidence with external stakeholders.
- A demonstrated ability to analyse policy or problems to identify issues, risk, strategies, and solutions.
