Working at the Department of Internal Affairs, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders. The National Library Literacy and Learning directorate sits within the Te Haumi branch. We empower school communities by providing nation-wide library services that promote literacy and learning.
This role is for one of two Team Leaders for Capability Services for Schools. The Team Leaders work closely together to lead the national team of Capability Facilitators who deliver professional leadership and support for schools and school communities across Aotearoa New Zealand.
Each Team Leader is the people leader for 9-10 Capability Facilitators, and they have operational and project management responsibilities across the whole team. They lead the team to develop and deliver our capability building programmes and services, including a range of professional learning opportunities, targeted development programmes, network and learning events to build confidence, skills and knowledge in students, educators and their communities.
The Team Leader Capability Services is a skilled people and operational leader, building a positive and high performing team culture and contributing across teams to achieve the system-wide improvement of library services for young people. This is a key leadership role and requires exceptional communication and team leadership skills.
