The Resource Recovery team of the Transport & Waste Management unit is responsible for developing and implementing the management and maintenance of the City's solid waste strategy. An opportunity has arisen for an Administration Officer to join the team.

**About the role**:
The primary purpose of this position is to act as a point of contact and manage customer and contractor escalation, as well as providing administration assistance to the Resource Recovery team. You'll contribute to public and business understanding and compliance with the Waste Management Bylaw and solid waste disposal methods. Your excellent customer service skills will enable your delivery of high level public interaction, and you'll ensure that the interface between the Solid Waste Collection and the public is well managed.

**About you**:
You will have well-developed communication and relationship building skills, while also being able to demonstrate a proven history of working unsupervised and prioritising your tasks. Your ability to show initiative in resolving problems and developing new solutions will ensure your success as well as:

- A NZQA Level 4 or a combination of equivalent training and work experience
- A minimum of 3 - 4 years in a business or administration environment.
- A high level of computer literacy and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Working knowledge / experience with the HYBRIS administrative tool.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills.
