Step into a pivotal leadership role at MIT and Unitec, where your expertise in international education will shape the future of learning in Aotearoa and beyond. As Director International, you will drive strategic growth, build global partnerships, and lead a passionate team committed to learner success and equity.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the development and execution of international recruitment and business development strategies.
- Oversee offshore and onshore operations aligned with the International Education Strategy.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with education agents, institutions, and government agencies.
- Collaborate with marketing to design culturally relevant international campaigns.
- Use market research and data insights to inform recruitment strategies and target markets.
- Support the development of articulation agreements, joint programmes, and mobility initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity goals, and learner-centred practices.
- Provide strategic leadership to a team delivering international growth and engagement.

We're seeking a strategic and culturally responsive leader with a passion for international education and business development, and a deep commitment to learner success. You'll bring a strong mix of experience, insight, and integrity to lead our international efforts with purpose and impact.
**You'll have**:
- A postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Proven leadership in international student recruitment and business development within tertiary education.
- Deep understanding of immigration regulations and international market dynamics.
- Strong communication, strategic thinking, and team leadership skills.
- A commitment to inclusive, equity-focused leadership and lifelong learning.
