Purpose The Operations Manager contributes to the smooth running of the business through the delivery of effective support and kaitiakitanga of our operations.

1. Essential Work Activities
- Take responsibility for the smooth running of our Tāmakai Makaurau operations. In doing this act as the key contact point for all administrative and property related issues.
- Ensure all Tāmaki staff are on-boarded in a mana enhancing manner. In doing this, all equipment to be ordered in advance, and an induction plan arranged with relevant Rangatira.

- Pending appointment of a Kaiwhakahaere Tāmaki Makaurau: o Assist with weekly one-to-one meetings with all Tāmakai based kaimahi, and
provide weekly activity reporting to Carl and Jane. o Assist with HR administration for all Tāmaki Makaurau kaimahi, including
monitoring and approval of leave and initial requests for support, assistance and equipment.
- Immediately escalate any other HR issues to Carl or Jane.
- Work with Carl and Jane on initiatives to ensure that all technology services and systems
are deployed to best advantage, with appropriate training of teams in place.
- Advise Carl and Jane on opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, and remove
operational tasks from our Kaiwhakahaere.
- Work with our Finance team to ensure effective processes are in place, and all required
information is available to ensure timely reporting.
- Assist in building employee and company benefits where possible (including Insurance
offerings for staff, maintaining corporate rates for hotels, transfer services etc).
- Assist with the review and implementation of new technology services as they are
identified to optimise operation and effectiveness of business. In doing so, assist in identification of potential advisors and suppliers where so required.
- Oversee contractor management - ensuring all contractor paperwork and set up of contractors in Vincere, Invoxy and Xero has been completed, developing roll-over processes, ensuring timely receipt of approved timesheets and invoices (Invoxy), assisting in all processes as required.
- Ensure all MoJ and other pre-employment checks are completed as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance for placements - all relevant checks completed and documents saved
to Vincere
- Support the consulting team with the completion of verbal reference checks (where
required)
- Liaise with IT providers and helpdesks to ensure ongoing team wide issues are resolved.
- Oversee new starter and exit processes, assisting where required.
- Organise events as required.
- Ensure stationery, kitchen and other supplies are ordered.
- Assist with our property portfolio, ensuring all services are optimised.
- Assist Carl, and Jane with other projects related to the optimisation and effective
management of the business as required.
- Escalate any privacy breaches for the office.
- Oversee all health and safety requirements for Niche.

- A knowledge of tikanga Māori (preferred), or willingness to learn.
- High level of administration skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
