**THE ROLE**

This role will take ownership and ensure that all programmed, planned, and emergency work on the network are delivered safely in required timeframes and exceed minimum quality requirements.

They will be responsible for ensuring that labour, plant, and subcontractors are optimized to maximize the outcome for both the client and Ventia, ensuring that there is always a seamless supply of materials to the delivery teams.

There is also a strong financial element in this role and they are responsible that budgets are programmed and completed each season and the claims are completed on time each month.

**YOU**
If you are currently in charge of, or have previously been responsible for operations within the roads maintenance business, and have an ambitious, growth mind-set, this could be the role for you.

You will demonstrate a strong track record of building and maintaining excellent client relationships and an ability to develop and support a team to achieve their targets and fulfil their potential.

You will be a skilled stakeholder manager, capable of gaining support from and influencing key internal and external people who are not in your reporting line. You will have in-depth knowledge of the transport infrastructure landscape in New Zealand, an understanding of the key client organisations, a strong network of industry contacts and the ability to contribute to growth strategy and planning.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 7 years in delivery of road maintenance contracts or complex civil infrastructure delivery
- Previous experience as an operations/contracts manager
- Previous success in leading and managing operational teams.
- Financial literacy and commercial savvy. A business background/qualification could also be suitable
