**Te Haeata/The Opportunity**
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advisor to join the Judicial Education team within Te Kura Kaiwhakawā (Te Kura). Te Kura is the education and development arm of Aotearoa New Zealand's judiciary delivering professional development to judicial officers at all stages of their careers.
The Advisor - Judicial Learning and Development will play a significant role in the development and delivery of judicial education programmes in New Zealand, supporting the Deputy Director, Curriculum Design & Delivery and other Advisors to ensure the curriculum needs of all judges are met.
You will play a pivotal role in the evaluation lifecycle of Te Kura's programmes, embedding practices of structured evaluation and reflection, so that insights gained at programmes and from resources are appropriately captured, disseminated and taken forward in judging practice. In supporting a culture of continuous improvement and transparency of service, you will be responsible for:
- drafting effective survey questions,
- implementing evaluation methods and data collection techniques,
- monitoring the progress of evaluations, addressing any challenges or issues that arise,
- analysing the collected data,
- producing reports showing both quantitative and qualitative feedback,
- advising on best practice approaches.
You will be required to travel within New Zealand from time to time, to support Te Kura programmes. This will involve being responsible for technical set up and audio-visual experience (such as online participation or facilitation of remote presenters).
A key aspect to this role is working closely with the Deputy Director, Curriculum Design and Delivery to ensure robust internal information systems and processes are maintained. This will require confidence and skill working with large and complex data sets to enable Te Kura to provide the Board and judicial leadership with high-quality information and reporting.

To be successful in the position you will have:
- a sound tertiary qualification in a relevant area or equivalent experience,
- technical expertise and proficiency in the Microsoft suite,
- strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate information effectively,
- proven customer service skills, including active listening, solutions-focused and positive attitude and professionalism,
- initiative and be highly motivated to set and achieve goals,
- strong problem-solving skills to develop innovative responses to complex issues,
- sound judgement, discretion, political sensitivity, personal resilience, confidentiality and tact.
The following would be an advantage:
- experience in and an understanding of the justice sector or public service generally,
- experience in event management, project management, law and/or learning and development.

**Utu ā-tau/**Salary**
The appointing salary for this role will be between $73,634 and $94,591, based on skills and experience.
