Queenstown, New Zealand NZSki Full time

Are you fuelled by a passion for the outdoors? Is there something indescribable that draws you to the mountains? Let’s chat. Joining our crew is more than just working at a ski field - it’s a lifestyle, seasonal work is a rollercoaster but it’s one that creates lasting memories that you’ll talk about for a lifetime.

Our NZSki community has been growing since 1947 and continues to offer the best experience for our crew, locals, and guests alike. Everyone at Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt cares for the mountains and shares a passion for snowsports and the surrounding regions. Our success is due to our awesome customer service, first-class facilities, majestic scenery, and wild terrain.

The marketing department is looking for a Media Coordinator to help tell the story of our mountains this winter.

Split across our two Queenstown mountains, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables, the Media Coordinator will be responsible for capturing stories, producing content and managing distribution and comms on our social channels. The Media Coordinator will be well equipped with a toolbox to ensure they deliver on-brand content aligned with the overarching content strategy so that collectively we can deliver on the company's objective to be an industry leader in the social media space.

The role will report to the Sales and Marketing Executive, and work closely with the Admin, Terrain Park, Race & Events teams on the mountain amongst other members of the Sales and Marketing team.

About the role

- Capture daily content that tells the story of our mountains, in line with our content pillars.
- Actively seek out stories about our crew and our customers on mountain to creatively share.
- Respond to and monitor messages on our social channels, actively engaging with customers - both sharing the stoke and answering any questions they may have.
- Grow our social media following on Facebook, Instagram & Tik Tok.
- Capture photos and content when required by marketing for media and other channels.
- Cover mountain events and grab content to be posted to our own platforms and distributed to local media.
- Categorise and file all content created appropriately and regularly.

Events
- Capture content at events on mountain to share on social and beyond. Ensuring that relevant release forms and any other appropriate paperwork is filled in and filed.
- Provide marketing with any photos or video content of sponsor exposure on mountain.

About You
- A genuine interest in marketing, social media and brand engagement
- A background in content creation or social media is essential.
- Love keeping up with social trends and full of ideas for how we can better execute and engage in the social media space.
- A capable photographer and videographer who is confident in using editing software.
- You truly believe THAT WINTER IS LEGENDARY, love the mountain, love skiing or boarding and are an intermediate to advanced skier or snowboarder.
- You are outgoing, enjoy meeting new people and are committed to creating a fun environment for our guests.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Are flexible with days and hours of work as no day is ever quite the same

Skills and Qualifications
- Although a qualification in a relevant field such as media, photography, videography, or digital marketing is favourable, we recognise the importance of hands-on experience paired with enthusiasm to learn and grow

Examples of videos you’ve created, photos you’ve taken and stories you’ve shared will be required prior to an interview so please be aware of this when applying.

As Kaitiaki of the mountains we have an enduring commitment to our environment, people, and communities to ensure they benefit from our presence and as proud supporters of Winter Pride we’ve pledged to continue to provide a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
