**_The Role/Te Mahi_**
In this role, you will be the front-facing point of contact for customers and end users of information systems. This is a client-facing role with a focus on service delivery where you will both anticipate and be responsive to customers, business processes, operational needs, and issues.
You will support and maintain University’s information systems. These include administrative, operational, teaching and research functions, which means that in this role you will be working across various platforms and technologies.
Specific tasks associated with this position include:
- Assisting with developing and maintaining procedures, IT reference materials (including in-line documentation of code).
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of a suite of platforms and technologies
- Initiating and maintaining vendor relationships.
- Developing and supporting standard reporting delivered via enterprise reporting (e.g., business objects) or ad hoc requests for data and reporting from stakeholders.
**_Skills And Experience/Kā Pūkeka Me Kā Wheako_**
- A tertiary qualification in information technology.
- Proven experience within a general IT function in a medium-sized environment supporting enterprise-wide information systems and technologies.
- A wide knowledge of enterprise information systems.
- Experience with information systems implementation processes and practices.
- Good knowledge of a range of operating systems, their platforms and their network interactions.
