**What is the role?**:
Are you motivated to contribute to improving environmental and infrastructure outcomes? Are you excited about using data, its analysis, management, and visualisation to do so?
As a GIS consultant in Morphum’s Geospatial Services Team, you will be working alongside a dynamic and supportive group of geospatial professionals on career defining and nationally significant projects that provide real change to Aotearoa and Australia’s landscapes.
In this role, you will:
- Work with our internal and external clients, to communicate the benefit of GIS and develop GIS/FME solutions through all parts of the project lifecycle. This will include, devising and implementing FME workbenches to automate GIS analysis routines and data management tasks.
- Tell stories through data visualisation, using cartographical design within ArcGIS Pro, Online and Enterprise to inspire and empower our clients and communities.
- Support decision making by making sense of data and getting hands-on with data analytics.
- Forge new spatial pathways to awesome outcomes on our engineering and science projects, for example, designing data collection tools and methodologies to support field data capture.
- Contribute to our team’s data maintenance and management systems including assisting and implementing FME and GIS best practice quality assurance and control.
We are currently undertaking several meaningful projects across the country, in which you will be involved - such as our work to deliver online geospatial solutions to freshwater quality monitoring and modelling, asset management, and catchment planning projects, e.g. Freshwater Management Tools for Auckland, Tauranga and the Kaipara Moana - read more here.

**About you**:
You will have a passion for problem solving, thrive on a challenge, and have a commitment to sustainable and environmental outcomes.
- Strong environmental values.
- Demonstrated GIS/FME professional experience of three or more years.
- Proven experience and high level of competency with Esri Technology stack
- including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS mobile apps mobile GIS.
- Proven experience and high level of competency with Safe software FME including FME Desktop and FME Server.
- Proven experience in delivering pragmatic, quality outputs to deadlines within fast paced environments.
- Creative thinker with a knack for ideas.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willing to engage in a culture of teaching and learning.
- Sound written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Model Builder and/or Python within GIS is desirable.
