**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

This is an exciting new opportunity within Auckland Transports Partnerships and Engagement team leading the development and implementation of all aspects of communication and engagement about activities and disruptions on the transport network.

The role provides timely, relevant and consistent customer and stakeholder information and advice to support better customer outcomes and satisfaction and improve trust and confidence in AT.

The newly established Network and Disruption Communications function is critical to helping manage AT's customer experience and its reputation.

As a highly experienced senior leader who is accomplished in building and maintaining high-trust relationships with stakeholders and partner organisations, you have a passion for public service and thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Over 12 years' experience in a communications role or a similar field such as journalism or government relations
- An understanding of the public sector and local government landscape
- A strong grasp of complex transport operating environments and how to navigate these
- Political acumen and ability to anticipate and manage issues and opportunities
- Experience writing and delivering communications strategies and plans in complex environments
