This contract role is for an experienced Network Engineer focusing on lifecycle replacement and enhancement of our access and core network across our offices and station sites.

You'll play a key role in ensuring our network infrastructure remains robust, secure and fit-for-purpose, supporting both day-to-day operations and future growth.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading lifecycle projects across access and core network infrastructure.
  • Upgrading and replacing legacy hardware to maintain performance and reliability.
  • Working closely with internal teams and vendors to plan, implement, and test network changes.
  • Ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during cutovers and migrations.
  • Providing technical expertise and documentation for ongoing network support.

What we're looking for

  • Strong background in enterprise networking environments.
  • Experience with lifecycle management, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Solid understanding of routing, switching, and network security principles.
  • Hands-on experience with vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto, or Juniper.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills.

This role requires someone located in New Zealand with full working rights in New Zealand
