New Zealand Police is seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic HR Business Partner to join our People Group and play a pivotal role in delivering the people strategy that support's the People Group.

As a Strategic HR Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team. You'll provide high-level people-related advice, broker relationships between leadership priorities and enabling teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our tiered-service operating model.

This is a unique opportunity to influence strategic workforce planning, uplift organisational capability, and help shape the future of policing in New Zealand.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Partner with senior leaders to deliver strategic people initiatives aligned with Police's enterprise goals.
- Provide expert advice on workforce planning, organisational development, and change leadership.
- Champion continuous improvement across the People Group operating model.
- Support initiatives that keep our people safe, well, and resilient.
- Collaborate across business units to ensure people strategies reflect community needs and operational realities.

- Proven experience in strategic HR leadership, ideally within complex or public sector environments.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills at executive level.
- Deep understanding of organisational development, workforce strategy, and change management.

**Utu a-tau | Salary**

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $142,124 and $146,861 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
