**What you will be doing**

We have a permanent opportunity available as an Operator in the Steel Plant.

You will be responsible for the continuity of operation in the production of liquid steel to meet the needs of the Plant and our Customers.

Working in a large industrial production environment, you will be operating heavy machinery in a hazardous environment where health and safety is the top priority.

The normal working hours for this position are 42 hours per week (12 hour / 4 shift rotating pattern) however to ensure that operational requirements are met, you may be required to work additional hours when needed.

**What you will bring to the role**

You will need to be someone who enjoys a challenge. Your self-driven and proactive nature will be the key to your success in this role.

Preference will be given to applicants with overhead crane operation and/or operational experience.

Computer literacy is important but so is a positive attitude, a willingness to work as part of a team and take ownership of your work and go the extra mile to get the job done.

**About the team**

Each shift crew consists of a team which is multi-skilled in a range of tasks and training will be provided to achieve the desired level of multi-skilling.
