Fixed Term Operators

New Zealand Steel, a wholly owned subsidiary of BlueScope, manufactures and markets a range of flat rolled steel products for the building, construction, manufacturing and agricultural sectors. You may know us for our flagship COLORSTEEL® brand.
**What you will be doing**
The normal working hours for this position are 48 hours per week (12 hour / 4 shift rotating pattern) however to ensure that operational requirements are met, you may be required to work additional hours when needed.
**What you will bring to the role**
Along with the ability to learn the required skills on the job and produce high quality work in a timely manner, the successful applicants will need to have:
- A willingness to undertake manual handling work
- People with great communication skills - verbal and written
- Excellent computer literacy
- Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Positive attitude, ability and willingness to take ownership of your work
- Proven good attendance and work history
You will need to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork along with a willingness to positively contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment and an uncompromising attitude towards health and safety.
