**About the Role**:
We have a vacancy for a casual team member to join our close-knit and friendly medical team. This is a casual position and the hours will be based on a as and when required basis, although we will endeavor to provide advance notice of cover there will be times where you will need to be flexible and available at short notice, our team currently work a 12hr shift pattern.

Our nurses play a key role by providing medical support along with a wide range of activities and initiatives designed to promote health and wellbeing across our large site, the medical centre operates as part of a 24/7 service to our employees.

**About You**:
While occupational health experience would be great it is not a necessity, at NZ Steel we value personality and attitude as highly as experience. You will need to be comfortable working both day and night shifts along with working autonomously - a large part of this role is working sole charge.

You will need to hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate and have a strong interest in health promotion and workplace health and safety. You will have a high level of integrity and professionalism, a demonstrated ability to problem solve and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.

A Full NZ Drivers licence is a requirement for this role.

**Your main duties will include**:

- Medicals
- Spirometry
- Audiometry
- Mask Fit Testing
- Rehabilitation
- Drug & alcohol testing
- Auditing
- Support for OHS improvement initiatives
- Record keeping and reporting
- Emergency Response
