Have you got the vision, foresight and management skills to support the creation of show stopping events from design innovation through to implementation? Are you a senior event manager who is a dab hand at negotiating, organising, anticipating the unexpected and pulling everything together in spectacular form whilst building and maintaining excellent relationships?
If so here’s your opportunity to lead the production and delivery of our Home & Lifestyle Shows and Women’s Lifestyle Expos across the country. Attracting tens of thousands of attendees, you will play a critical role inconsistently producing exceptional, highly engaging events that has our exhibitors and visitors coming back for more.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITES**:
- **Leadership and stakeholder relations**: Lead, support and motivate direct report(s) to be successful in their role and provide high quality stakeholder service.
- **Event calendar and supplier engagement**: Using industry knowledge and competitor analysis, confirm annual event dates and negotiate favourable venue hire rates and supplier arrangements.
- **Operations and cost management**:Create and execute comprehensive operational systems, event management and delivery plans, and budgets with savvy cost management.
- **Event strategy and planning**: End-to-end operational planning, innovation and flawless execution of events.
- **Marketing and communications**: Implement exhibitor communications plans, assist in the creation of social media plans, content generation, media releases and marketing collateral.
**ABOUT YOU**:
- At least 4+ years’ senior level, hands on event management experience with proven project management skills and experience of venue hire negotiations, creation of health and safety plans, staff contracting, logistics and budgeting.
- Experience in a sole-charge management role providing strong team leadership.
- A team player who fosters a positive work culture, leading with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to easily manage multiple tasks and projects, juggling deadlines, budgets and operational planning.
- Stakeholder management skills with high customer service expectations.
- A can-do, positive outlook with a ‘think outside the square’ attitude and the ability to think innovatively.
- Thrives under pressure, with a calm approach to trouble shooting and problem solving.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong initiative and forward planning skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
