Reporting directly to the CEO, as the People and Communications Manager you will be required to work across all of the company's locations (Feilding, Dannevirke, Otaki, Mangatainoka), most likely based in Feilding or Dannevirke where the majority of staff are employed. You will be provided with a company vehicle to visit all sites, and to build and foster relationships with Scanpower's team of seventy-five staff in this full-time, permanent position.

HR Excellence:

- Develop HR policies that shine
- Lead recruitment and onboarding
- Manage staff well-being and growth
- Stay compliant with employment law

Support and Strategy:

- Be the go-to HR guru for the management team
- Fuel Scanpower's growth with strategic HR initiatives
- Enhance staff attraction, retention, and organisational culture

Communication Dynamo:

- Craft quality, engaging internal and external communications
- Keep staff informed with newsletters and updates
- Maintain an active social media presence
- Bring the website to life

Sponsorship Maestro:

- Build strong relationships with Scanpower's partners and maximize brand equity
- Ensure Scanpower's branding is on point at sponsored events

**Key Skills and Experience - What we are looking for**:

- Over 5 years of experience in a senior HR role or equivalent in a larger organisation
- Sound knowledge of HR systems and best practices
- Highly self motivated and full of initiative
- Exceptional relationship-building talents, from the boardroom to the breakroom
- A qualification in Human Resources or a related field
