The Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) Services Community
Team provides specialist assessment, treatment and support services
coordination for older people in the Canterbury region with psychiatric or age
related organic mental health concerns. The OPMH Community Team offers a
multi-disciplinary, community-based approach in partnership with the
patient/family/whanau/carer to facilitate agreed clinical outcomes which
reflect respect for the individual, cultural appropriateness and promote
wellness. Service Coordination focusses on getting the right home-based
supports to the right person at the right time, and also facilitates entry into
aged residential care.
Our Service
Coordinators provide a key role in the effective function of our Multi-Disciplinary
team. The work involves the management of patient records, providing service to
both clients and clinicians.
To be successful in
this role you will need to be from an administration/clerical background with
excellent organisational and prioritising skills, be a team player with a
friendly disposition and a willingness to help those around you. Additionally,
you should be resilient and able to maintain composure under stressful or
pressurised situations.

**Responsibilities include**:

- General clerical

and administrative tasks using a variety of Health systems
- Delivering great client
service
- Liaise with
internal and external stakeholders
- Distribute results

This role requires

**the following**:

- Organisation, time

management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent client
service with attention to detail
- Skilful computer/IT
abilities including MS Office and a readiness to learn new systems
- Ability to work
under pressure to meet required deadlines
- Excellent
relationship building skills with colleagues and ability to work within that
team and autonomouslyThe hours are 8:00-16:30, 1 day
off each fortnight located at Princess Margaret Hospital.
