**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity available to join our Health Promotion team as **Principal Advisor -Pae Ora in the Toi Ora Group. **The Toi Ora Group works closely with our regional colleagues and across the health system, to develop and support health promotion programmes with and for communities.

**Mōu | About you**

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A tertiary qualification, and/or a minimum of eight to ten years' appropriate equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience, in designing comprehensive health promotion prgrammes and projects
- A preference for experience in working across multi-disciplinary teams
- Health sector and/or government experience and knowledge of government structures and processes is not a requirement but would be beneficial
