The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

We have a fixed term/secondment opportunity available to join our **Health Protection team as a Principal Advisor - Border.**

This is a fixed term opportunity covering the incumbent for a six-month period in the role of Principal Advisor - Border, you will be a pivotal member of our Health Protection team, working towards the realisation of the NPHS strategic agenda for Pae Ora (Healthy Futures). Your role will be instrumental in driving our efforts in support of the Boarder team working collaboratively with the Environmental Health and Compliance and broader Heath Protection directorate.

- Leadership experience, including designing and managing a portfolio of work, and resources
- A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience (e.g., public health, epidemiology, informatics)
- Extensive specialised work experience typically supported with professional qualifications 10 - 15 years
- A preference for experience in working across multi-disciplinary teams
