**About Us**: Caffeine Avenue Limited is a thriving café located in the heart of New Zealand. We pride ourselves on providing excellent coffee, delectable food, and exceptional customer service in a warm and inviting atmosphere. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team and help us maintain and enhance our high standards.

As the Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the café. You will work closely with the Café Manager to ensure the smooth running of the establishment, deliver top-notch customer service, and lead the team to achieve our business goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing outstanding service and handling inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Assist in the day-to-day management of the café, including opening and closing procedures, overseeing food and beverage preparation, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising café staff, creating and managing staff schedules, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and conducting regular team meetings.
- Assist in managing the café’s budget and financial performance, handling cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and analyzing sales and performance data.
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new customers, promoting special offers and events, and engaging with customers through social media and other platforms.

**Key Requirements**:

- NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification, OR
- at least one year of relevant experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
