As an Account Manager you will be responsible for supporting the growth of Hall's Group market share through delivery of customer acquisition and client retention strategies. Day-to-day you will be managing current customer accounts, exploring new opportunities, and working collaboratively to develop plans for delivering the best financial outcomes for the company.
Our clients are our business, and as an Account Manager at Halls Group you will get to know their business and their growth aspirations. Working with our clients, you will be tasked with driving growth within our existing client base as well as identifying and securing new business. Our Account Managers assist in the preparation of cost-effective transport and storage solutions, linking with operations teams to ensure they are able to deliver customer requirements and effective outcomes. You will actively support in the preparation of EOI and RFP responses for new and existing business.
**What would you be doing?**
- Fostering sound business relationships with both new and existing clients to gain a good understanding of their business and seek new business opportunities
- Ensuring that all opportunities for appropriate and profitable growth are being considered and developed within both existing client base and new opportunities
- Assisting your colleagues in the Sales team with existing and new business opportunities as required.
- Participating in the annual sales budget review cycle and strategic planning activities and supporting the General Manager Sales and the wider Executive team
- Working collaboratively with Operational teams to assist in improving service quality and company performance
- Building a strong understanding of transport companies operating in the chilled and frozen freight market.
- Preparing and producing reports within deadlines to the General Manager Sales
- Maintain customer data in the CRM system, and assist other Account Managers and customer service team members where required
**What you'll need to be brilliant**:
- Ideally a relevant Tertiary Qualification (e.g. Sales related; Finance) or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of proven Sales experience within a FMCG environment, or an operations background where sales has played a key part of your role
- Working knowledge of logistics
- Demonstrable record in working with customers and gaining an understanding of their needs
- Understanding of financial and commercial implications for business success
To succeed in this role, you will be passionate about people and customers, knowledgeable about the transport and logistics industry, and be commercially and sales focused. You will have a demonstrable track record of partnering strategically with your customers to grow market share, revenue, and profit.
