Pūmanawa Tangata Human Resources sits within He Pou Aronui Organisational Capability and Services, a branch dedicated to working together to drive the Department of Internal Affairs to excel for New Zealanders.

**About the job**:

- The HR Business Partner role is key to building leadership capability and supporting DIA to be a high performing organisation and a great place to work.
- The role provides strategic HR advice to 2 or 3 Deputy Chief Executives and their senior leadership teams to support them to lead their branches and business groups to meet their strategic business objectives.
- The position is also part of the HR leadership team and is responsible for actively contributing to the success of the Pūmanawa Tangata team to be highly capable, responsive, collaborative, cohesive and customer-centric.

**Skills required**:
You will have sound knowledge and broad experience across HR disciplines including strategy development, employee relations, change management, organisational and workforce development. You will also demonstrate proven ability to quickly build strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders and will have high levels of adaptability and resilience.

**Other requirements**:
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources management or related discipline is preferred.
