We are currently seeking a Clinical Engineering or Electronics Technicians to join our expanding Biomedical Engineering Department.

This is a full time role based in the Regional Renal Dialysis Workshop at Waikato Hospital but extends throughout the Te Manawa Taki district (Bay of Plenty Lakes and Tairawhiti). We are the first point of call for all medical equipment repairs and maintenance. You will be part of a team responsible for the service, maintenance, calibration and repair of various medical devices.

Previous experience in electronic service and repair, particular involving medical equipment repair and maintenance and the healthcare sector is advantageous.

**Key responsibilities of the role**:
As part of our team, you will be responsible for:

- Routine and preventative maintenance of medical equipment
- Corrective maintenance and faulty finding of medical equipment
- Commissioning and install of new medical equipment

Our service is a multidisciplinary engineering and technical team. As a team we support a wide range of medical equipment the Te Whatu Ora Waikato district and specialist Renal Dialysis equipment support across the Te Manawa Taki region. We not only provide first point of contact for all medical equipment issues but also provide routine and scheduled maintenance of all medical equipment to ensure correct functionality, safety and performance.

**Mōu | About you**

We are looking for someone who has:

- Experience in the repair and maintenance of Medical devices, Experience with Renal dialysis equipment advantageous
- High technical aptitude and understanding of IT systems
- Diploma/Bachelor in Electronic Engineering or equivalent Trade Based certification
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent Time management skills, organised, self-motivated and ability to effectively prioritise workload
- Hold a current New Zealand driver’s licence and be comfortable driving both Manual and Automatic Vehicles
- Experience with a wide range of medical equipment as well as strong IT/networking skills would be advantageous
