**The details**: Permanent Full time - 40 Hours per week (1.0 FTE)

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
- We are currently seeking a Team Leader to Clinical Engineering or Electronics Technicians to join our expanding Biomedical Engineering Department. This is a full time role based in the Clinical Engineering Workshop at Waikato Hospital. We are the first point of call for all medical equipment issues.
- You will be part of a team responsible for the service, maintenance, calibration and repair of various medical devices. Previous experience in electronic service and repair, particular involving medical equipment repair and maintenance and the healthcare sector is advantageous.

**The key responsibilities for Team Leader Quality and Support will include;**
- Lead a diverse team of on-site and community technicians
- Co-ordinate the BME fleet of calibration equipment including scheduling, dispatch, receipt, and assignment to staff.
- Ensure an effective, efficient and ongoing process of continuous quality improvement, consultation and feedback to stakeholders in order to guarantee their needs and concerns are met.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and testing as required

Our service is a multidisciplinary engineering and technical team. As a team we support a wide range of medical equipment the Te Whatu Ora Waikato district and specialist Renal Dialysis equipment support across the Te Manawa Taki region.
- We not only provide first point of contact for all medical equipment issues but also provide routine and scheduled maintenance of all medical equipment to ensure correct functionality, safety and performance.

**Mōu | About you**

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- Experience in the repair and maintenance of Medical devices
- High technical aptitude and understanding of IT systems
- Diploma/Bachelor in Electronic Engineering or equivalent Trade Based certification
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent Time management skills, organised, self-motivated and ability to effectively prioritise workload
- Hold a current New Zealand driver’s licence and be comfortable driving both Manual and Automatic Vehicles
- Experience with a wide range of medical equipment as well as strong IT/networking skills would be advantageous
