**About the Role**: As an Electrical Engineering Technician at TB Electrical, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering team. You will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, assisting in the design and layout of electrical systems, and ensuring that all installations meet regulatory and safety standards. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from small-scale residential installations to large industrial systems, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional electrical solutions to our clients.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry.
- Assist Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in the design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry for substations, switchgear, cabling systems, and motor control systems.
- Collect data, perform tests, and carry out complex calculations, including graphing results and preparing charts and tabulations.
- Estimate material costs and quantities required for projects.
- Inspect designs and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Assemble, install, test, calibrate, modify, and repair electrical equipment and installations to meet regulatory and safety requirements.
- Perform electrical workshop functions, including installing assemblies for protection relays, metering, and indicating devices.
- Assist with research and experimentation programs, conduct tests of electrical systems, and prepare charts and tabulations.
- Support Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists by estimating costs and providing technical assistance.
**Qualifications**:
- Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
- Experience in electrical design, installation, and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in preparing technical drawings and plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
