Ventia has recently been awarded a 10-year contract with Transpower and we have multiple opportunities for suitably qualified and experienced Telecommunications Technicians to join our team, working across New Zealand.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

You will be working as part of a small select team responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of Telecommunication equipment across various clients such as 2 Degrees, RCG, DOC, Meridian, Genesis, PowerCo.

**ABOUT YOU**

**You will also ideally have the following qualifications, skills, and experience**:

- NZQA level 3 telecommunications qualification, or equivalent.
- Installation & Maintenance of Transmission Systems (SDH, PDH) & IP Networks
- Installation & Maintenance Digital Microwave Radio
- Installation & Maintenance DC systems and batteries
- Fibre Optics splicing and testing Multimode & Singlemode
- Structured cabling
- Installation of network infrastructure, cabinets, cable raceways
- Records Management - Able to interpret technical design documents, drawings and install equipment as per design
- EWP and working at heights certification would be an advantage
- Full Class 1 drivers Licence and experience driving appropriate vehicles in all road and weather conditions

The successful applicant be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Travel will be a requirement as well as overnight out of town stays with possible day/night work on weekends (including Sunday) plus be scheduled on a 24/7 callout roster to meet client requirements.
