**We’re looking for someone who is working toward or completed of a degree in natural, biological, physical or environmental sciences or related discipline. Experience in undertaking ecological surveys and organising fieldwork.**

**The successful applicant/s will be working in the Biosecurity Pest Plant team. The ability to work with others is critical. The work will include surveying, monitoring, pest plant control and data management. It will largely be a field role with a small data management component.**

**_- _**_Excellent communication skills - students will be required to talk to landowners, community groups and key stakeholders _**
- **Physically fit: able to work full days in challenging field work**
- **Attention to detail - high degree of accuracy when undertaking tasks**
- **Plant identification skills**
- **Be able to stay away overnight for work from time to time**
- **Planning of day-to-day activities with assistance from Pest Plant Unit Lead**
- **Strong skills in data management**
- **Comfortable with herbicide use**
- **Be able to swim confidently 200m**
- **Full NZ drivers licence High level of computer skills including Microsoft products.
